How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Kortright Operations, or the General Manager, Kortright Centre, the Service and Support Staff provide assistance and customer service to the public and perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks at Kortright Centre for Conservation.

Candidates must be flexible to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Welcome, inform and assist visitors, providing excellent customer service.

  • Maintain cleanliness of all buildings, facilities and work areas.

  • Provide support during events, as required.

  • Perform general maintenance duties, as required.

  • Perform assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

  • Participate in required training in the use of equipment, vehicles, tools, etc.; follow all TRCA protocols and safety policies and procedures.

  • May require physical activity for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.

  • May be required to lift or carry objects that could weigh up to 50 pounds.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need to succeed:

  • High school diploma an asset.

  • Experience working in a general maintenance position an asset.

  • Experience working in a customer service position an asset.

  • Experience working at an attraction or educational facility an asset.

  • Cash handling experience an asset.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Superior customer service skills.

  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid First Aid and CPR Basic Rescuer Certificate an asset.

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License an asset.
